Oscar went to Africa for 10 days in June and this is what he came back with, lots of stories and almost 2000 pictures and hours of video. We sure did miss him while he was gone, and we are so happy to have him home.
Whenever Oscar goes hunting he always comes home with a picture of himself doing a handstand!
In this picture he said he always had to be prepared, you never knew what to expect. What a comedian.
Here are a few pictures of their accomadations. I don't think they were ruffing it too much.
Oscar has an amazing gift to be able to speak and pick up different languages. He came home teaching the boys some of the different dialects he learned. He also has a hillarious ability to change his voice to do many different accents. He loves to impersonate Steve Erwin, the crocidile hunter, and he cracks us up every time. Here is a link to one of his finer moments *wink*

We watched a video last night where Oscar was trying to be a frenchman, but halfway through his speech he turned into a spanish speaking hunter, VERY funny!!!!! I don't have a link to that one though yet. He says he had a great time with his buddies, and we keep hearing new stories each day.
With all the fun he had it did humble him a bit when he saw how the majority of the people lived in the country. Here is one example.
He also came back with some pretty neat souvenirs. He told us the story of how he bargained with the sellers to finally obtain what he wanted. It was hillarious, he used his ability of accents to tell the story, but I can't do it justice. I can however show some pictures.
This is the 'Big Five' of Africa: The Elephant, the Lion, the Cape Buffalo, the Rhino, and the Leopard. All these souvenirs were carved out of iron wood. Very nice.
Here are some pictures of the animals he hunted.

I have no idea where Oscar is going to make room for all of these. Since he changed jobs we can't move for two years, or even put an addition onto the house. I guess he'll have to hope it takes a long time to get them back, and he'll have to be pretty creative. He has to remember though that I don't deal in real estate, 8 feet and down is mine and I'm not budging!!!
Love you honey.

Hey O, since when did Steve Irwin from Mexico?? I kept waiting for someone to drop the dirty sanchez in the video.
I still cannot believe Oscar shot a giraffe :-( What did a giraffe ever do to him...Don't you budge on the 8 feet. You need to have a girly touch in your own home. Love ya Sis!
Oscar, what an amazing adventure! It looks like you enjoyed it to its fullest, too. I'm glad it was such a great trip. Incredible pictures!
