Primos

After the assembly we took the boys out to lunch to continue their celebration. Here we are at Primo's enjoy the delicious food and playing some fun video games.

This picture was fun to take. Parker didn't want to smile at first or even have his picture taken. As soon as we said "Parker if you smile you can play video games" he perked right up. :) The next picture they were all kissing their muscles, or 'guns' as their dad refers to them. Oscar is doing the sign daddy made up to stand for Williamson.

The race car game. Mason is even making the sounds effects, more like a motorcylce though, that's what the face is for. Then Mason was up for a race with Zachary.

Parker and Oscar really enjoyed shooting the guns. Zachary was so sure he could get the football out of the claw game. He had ahold of it and then the 'claw' dropped it!

This was our 1st time going to Primo's, and I think the boys have found their new favorite restaurant. :)

Taxidermy Show

We all went together into Boise this weekend to see some taxidermy mounts. A local taxidermist that Oscar uses, Preston Evans, entered one of Oscars mounts he did for him into the competition. Here are my boys beside daddy's mount.

It won 2nd place in its division. Blue ribbon is 1st place, red is for 2nd place, and white is for third. There were so many ribbons I couldn't figure out why. Later I was told that they give out 3 blue ribbons in each category, but I didn't understand the categories either. I was just glad Oscar got to see his mount in a competition and it placed. All these birds are from Alaska and two more will still be added before the mount is completly finished. Preston did a very good job making it look realistic. The picture really doesn't do it justice, Preston is an artist.

Dr. Do Brains?

After getting out of the shower Zachary came running into the other bathroom to show me his hair doo, it was spiked out all over! I thought he called himself 'Dr. Two Brains'. (Today he told me it was 'Dr Do Brains' which is like having two brains, I still don't understand it). I had no idea what he was talking about so I sent him out to his dad. Here are some of the pictures dad captured of Zachary acting like Zachary and very similar to his daddy as a boy.

I can't believe he is so skinny, this boy is going to eat me out of house and home. :) If you have ever had a meal with our family you'll understand. I think he can out eat his dad at times.

These are the ones that remind me of his daddy.

Parker's Photography

Lately Parker has wanted to take pictures himself. He see's mom and dad doing it and wants to do the same. While I was downloading pictures I noticed he had taken a few in the last week. Some are okay and some are silly, I even had one that was just black. So in honor of Parker's new desire to be a photographer here are some of his pictures. Enjoy!

This is Daddy, Aunt Karen (daddy's sister) is standing by him.

Here is a couple of Mason. Hey Alyce he captured you too!!

Well Parker if you just keep practicing you'll get even better. Great Job!

Bedtime Stories

One of our favorite times of day is right before bedtime. I usually read to Parker and Mason while Oscar and Zachary read their books. In the summer though I usally read a book to all of them, more for Oscar, Zachary, and me. Parker listens sometimes and Mason plays with his blocks or his cars. This summer we are going to start with the 3rd Fablehaven book, we are very excited.

Oscar captured on camera our nightly activity, to wind down so the boys will fall asleep easier. I'm not sure why Parker has a grumpy face? This is one of his favorites, Curious George goes Camping.

I just absolutely love to read and I want my boys to love it too!!

Oscar's 5th Grade Graduation

6/3/08

Today Oscar graduated from 5th grade from Parkridge and will be heading to 6th grade at East Valley Middle School in the fall. We are very proud of Oscar and all the accomplishments he has achieved.

Oscar was asked to help in a flag ceremony to start the ceremony. He was asked to wear his scout uniform and William Jenks carried the flag. He looked kinda nervous, but he did a good job. Thank goodness he had a microphone so we could hear him. I was in the audience trying to get him to smile, but I think he was purposely not looking at me so he wouldn't mess up.

They sang some songs, my favorite was the last one Stand By Me. When I figure out how to download the video to the computer I'll post it. They were called up by class to receive their certificates and their teachers presented them with them.

Way to go Oscar, good luck and have fun in 6th grade!

Cooking Daddy Style

Oscar doesn't cook a whole lot, but when he does he does a good job. He has the same gift his mother has to be able to put things together without a receipe and it turns out great. I do not have that gift. I usually put him in charge of the game meat cooking. He does excellent putting the right spices on the meat to marinate and then grilling up the steaks. A couple of weeks ago he had all the boys try a piece, I about fainted when Parker says "Wow Dad I Like It"!!! Parker is my pickest eater ever!! So I guess Oscar will be doing a lot grilling this summer.

Here is a picture of Oscar cooking some elk burger for Nachos. They turned out great and all the boys ate dinner! Thanks hon!

Rhet Stewart Graduates

We went to celebrate Rhet Stewart's high school graduation this weekend at the Idaho Center. Thank goodness the ceremony wasn't any longer than it was because all the little boys were getting restless. We were sitting right at the edge of a drop off to the concrete, and Parker and Haken were making me nervous the whole time.

After the ceremony we went to find Rhet in the big crowd to congratulate him and get a few pictures.
Mason loves the Stewart family. We had to get a picture with one of his 'other' brothers!
Oscar was trying to get a family shot of the Stewarts, and the boys thought they needed to help too.
Just talking and having fun.

Having Fun With The Family

After going to Rhet's graduation, we went out for ice cream cones at Arctic Circle. The boys were having so much fun telling jokes and laughing. I was almost positive the employees could hear us all laughing through the speaker even after daddy's attempts to quite us all. Once we got up to the window they were still laughing and the employees were either trying not to laugh, listen, or be insulated, I couldn't tell. It also didn't help the laughter after daddy had to pass some loud gas right by the window (P.S. I don't think Oscar thought it would be that loud, because his face turned red pretty fast). Good grief how embarassing! Like father like sons! :)

Who Has Bigger Muscles?

Or maybe who has the cutest? Can you say cutest for a boy? hehehehe

Dad is checking out his competition! Can you tell which muscle Zachary is most proud of?

Mom Are You Watching?!

Parker was proud that he could 'pump' his legs and make the swing go by itself. Oscar wanted me to watch him do a flip out of the swing, and Mason was just having fun swinging.

Oscar getting ready...

During the flip....

Landing......

I say 8.5. Applause!!!!

Strike a Pose

Here are some pictures Oscar took of the boys goofing around right before we left for church. hahahahaha

Gum vs Toddler

So who won?

Mason LOVES Gum!! He's absolute favorite, enough that it will stop a crying fit when offered. This has come in handy for some cases but not all. For example Mason has been having a hard time staying in nursery by himself, but one time Alyce offered him some gum, it worked. However Mason also gets tired of chewing and likes to take the gum out and look at it. Sometimes it ends up on the floor, his shirt, the ground, or just recently his hair, and the funniest on his dad.

Here's the story. One night Oscar (dad) couldn't sleep well in bed so he went out to sleep on the couch. As he is trying to get comfortable he thinks he smells gum. He gets hot so he gets up to open a window, he thinks he smells gum. He searches the pillow but finds none. He lays down to get comfortable and places his hand on his bare chest, and finds??? GUM!! hahahaha But wait, it gets better. When he wakes up the next morning he is getting ready for work and realizes he has gum wraped around his leg!! Hahahaha But wait, there's more. Later that night we were watching a movie with the Dittrich's. We sat on the couch and rearranged the pillows and discovered GUM!! hahahaha. I couldn't believe we kept finding it everywhere, and that was only one piece!! I should learn by now that I shouldn't give it to him, but sometimes I'm just desperate.
